The Infatuation
The Infatuation is an editorial platform dedicated to delivering expert restaurant recommendations through detailed reviews and curated guides. Reviews are crafted by a passionate team of writers and editors who dine anonymously and pay for their own meals to ensure unbiased opinions. After multiple visits, they provide honest, reliable content to help users make informed dining decisions in major cities across the United States and around the world.
Acquired by JPMorgan Chase in late 2021, I joined in January 2022, where I focused on growth initiatives, user communication campaigns, and enhancing the design system.
Assurant Labs
Assurant Labs, the innovation hub of Assurant, crafts comprehensive solutions that empower providers and to enhance insurance subscriber value and engagement while unlocking new revenue streams through Pocket Geek Mobile and Home Solutions. Serving over 300 million consumers worldwide, Assurant delivers end-to-end protection solutions that ensure a seamless customer experience.
During my time at Assurant, I recruited and conducted insightful Jobs to be Done (JTBD) interviews, unraveling user problem spaces and driving a successful app redesign. I led design for the Enhanced Protection team guiding our efforts to integrate built-in diagnostics, cybersecurity, and cloud backup features—designed to protect customers and elevate product functionality.
DXY Solutions
DXY was a full-service digital creative agency with locations in Cleveland, Berlin, and London. The agency partnered with enterprise and mid-market companies to design innovative products and services across various domains, including business design, user experience and visual interface design, software development for mobile, web, and backend systems, embedded systems engineering, and IoT manufacturing support.
I joined DXY in 2013 as an eager, young designer looking to find my way. During my time there, I created engaging UX and UI designs for websites, mobile apps, and IoT platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences across different digital environments. I also led projects in a fast-paced agency setting, balancing business needs, setting project timelines, and coordinating with clients. I had the privilege of working with incredibly talented and supportive colleagues who mentored me and gave me the space to grow. I will always be grateful for my time at this remarkable startup agency.

Quarterly Book Challenge
Quarterly Book Challenge
Each quarter, I challenge myself to read a design book to continually improve my skills. This year, I’ve completed ”Articulating Design Decisions” by Tom Greever and ”Design That Scales: by Dan Mall, with my all-time favorite being ”Leaders Eat Last” by Simon Sinek.

Jobs to be done
In 2018, I attended a multi-day workshop with JTBD creator Bob Moesta, where I delved into the JTBD framework, recruitment process, interview style, and debriefing techniques. This approach helps me understand not just what consumers do, but why they do it, focusing on the scenarios and energy driving their decisions to buy or use a product. I continue to incorporate this thinking into my design process.
